Building on its success in 2022, the Biennale d’Aix rolls out its second edition from April 6 to June 29 with an ambitious program that renews the relationship between citizens and culture.

The first highlight of the Biennale 2024 will take place from April 6 to June 29, 2024. A total of 80 events and exhibitions will take place in the public spaces and gardens of Aix, as well as in the city’s eight cultural facilities.

The second edition of the Biennial will be anchored locally, reaching out to local residents through cultural action projects and artistic residencies. Streets, squares, museums and gardens, as well as more secretive heritage sites exceptionally open for the Biennial, will come alive to surprise and amaze the public.

The guest country in 2024 is Lebanon. In this context, Lebanon’s artistic effervescence will be highlighted while celebrating two decades of decentralized cooperation between the cities of Baalbeck and Aix-en-Provence. The Biennale d’Aix 2024 is also about bringing all forms of art to the city, getting out and about, being moved and coming together. It’s an invitation to discover, a factory of memories that permeate the city’s walls. Last but not least, it’s simply a way of celebrating the value of a shared narrative and the beauty of being together, strengthening ties with local residents and raising the profile of our city.
